"Bad Boys" is a song performed by American actress and singer Victoria Justice, written by Ingrid Andress, Jordan Reynolds, Kara DioGuardi, and its producer Chris DeStefano, for the Nickelodeon television series Victorious. It was released as the third track on the series' second extended play, Victorious 3.0: Even More Music from the Hit TV Show, on October 30, 2012.
Background and release[]
"Bad Boys" was possibly recorded on July 11, 2011, based on Victoria Justice's post on X, since it's her only known song Chris DeStefano worked on.[1] This would mean the song was recorded over a year before its release, even before the release of the first soundtrack for Victorious, Victorious: Music from the Hit TV Show. On October 16, 2012, Victorious 3.0: Even More Music from the Hit TV Show, the second extended play featuring music from Victorious, became available as a pre-order on iTunes. It was scheduled to be released on November 6 and contain five songs, including "Bad Boys" as the third track. However, the EP was released earlier on October 30, exclusively on the series' official website TheSlap, before the commercial release. Following the song's appearance in the series, the joint website of the magazines Bop and Tiger Beat gave a brief positive review, calling it "catchy".[2]
Appearance in Victorious[]
"Bad Boys" was performed by Tori Vega (portrayed by Victoria Justice) in the episode "Star Spangled Tori", that premiered on January 26, 2013; it was the last official song performed in the series. After an unsuccessful performance of the anthem at a basketball game, Tori gets an opportunity to perform live again on The Chris Burm Show, which she accepts, despite her friends André Harris (portrayed by Leon Thomas III) and Beck Oliver (portrayed by Avan Jogia) advising her not to appear as host Chris Burm (portrayed by Nathan Anderson) is known for pranking his guests. During the show, Tori announces she'll perform her new song "Bad Boys". As she goes to prepare for the performance, Chris reveals he's going to prank Tori by replacing a real dog with a stuffed one filled with spaghetti. During her performance, the stuffed dog is about to explode so that Tori will be more humiliated when she gets showered by spaghetti. André and Beck, who were in the audience and heard about his plan, want to save Tori from a situation she's unaware of. They sneak backstage and steal a squib, which Beck puts under Chris' chair. At the end of her performance, Chris activates a squib which sends him flying out of his chair onto the ceiling, without Tori being humiliated.

Lyrics[]
[Verse 1]
All the rules you break
Make me wanna run, but I can't escape
All the things you say
Most of them are lies, but I'm listening
[Pre-chorus]
La-la-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
That's my heart talking to my head, head
Talking to my heart
La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la-la-la
That's my heart talking to my head, head
Saying that
[Chorus]
You're a bad boy
I'm a good girl
And I'm gonna get my heart broken in time
You're a bad boy
Baby, your world
Is gonna chew me up and spit me out alive
If I could help myself, you know I would (ah-ah)
Why do the bad boys always look so good?
[Verse 2]
Baby, when you smile
I can see the trouble that's in your eyes
When you touch me there
I know for certain that I'm loosin' all control
Oh, oh-oh-oh, no, no
[Pre-chorus]
La-la-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la
That's my heart talking to my head, head
Talking to my heart
La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la-la-la-la
That's my heart talking to my head, head
Saying that
[Chorus]
You're a bad boy
I'm a good girl
And I'm gonna get my heart broken in time
You're a bad boy
Baby, your world
Is gonna chew me up and spit me out alive
If I could help myself, you know I would (ah-ah)
Why do the bad boys always look so good?
[Bridge]
I gotta let you go
I gotta let you go, go, go, oh
I gotta let you go
I gotta let you go
'Cause
[Chorus]
You're a bad boy
I'm a good girl
And I'm gonna get my heart broken in time
You're a bad boy
Baby, your world
Is gonna chew me up and spit me out alive
If I could help myself, you know I would (ah-ah)
Why do the bad boys always look so good?
[Outro]
La-la-la-la-la
That's my heart saying that

- It's the least streamed song from Victorious 3.0: Even Music from the Hit TV Show on Spotify.[5]
